We have all heard, “hard work pays off.”
But how often does it pay off?
I’m afraid I do not have the answer. I have always been told that and I have always worked hard. However, I could not recall multiple specific examples to prove this saying.
If you read the post “I’ve Had Enough.” Then you would have background on my costume history class and the terrible professor that “teaches” it.
Well. Where I last stopped, she was late to class and I left. As a result, I missed this exam. She initially told me I could make it up, but later changed her mind and said I could not.
So dealing with that was/is a whole different issues ( had to meet with the department chair). However, I did not let that stop me because I am not a quiter.
So, I kept attending class, participating, etc and I finished my final project two weeks before it was due.
I then met with her after class, for her to look over it.
She was so impressed by not only the work, but the fact that I am the only person who has completed it.
As a result, she has allowed me to make up that test.
So… I am here to say, hard work will pay off when you need it most.
If I had given up and not done the project with such care (just because I don’t like the prof.) I probably would not have been able to make up that exam.
So… hang in there. Classes are almost over.
*Pic coming soon.
